Exploring Life’s Themes and Lessons through ‘Film-e-life: You’re the Main Character’ – A Book Review
The book takes you on a fun and philosophical ride, where all your problems will be solved with good-humored and artistic solutions.
The chapter Script’ talks about the writer, the planner thinker inside us who is responsible for the choices we make, writings/values we follow and the scenes dialogues we speak in our Tale called Life. By using tools of critical thinking the author has tried to explain how easy it is to write a life of our wish, to live, experience and explore what you want for your main character to do. In direction, the entire role of your operation changes you become the leader, a director of the management that we live into and live for every day, it’s exciting that how tiny details of life are compared with the art of Film-direction.
In production, like a practical gentle dude you thoroughly become a producer, the analyst inside you gets an outline of your real purpose, goals and an adequate plot of the story you want to roll, live. Performance is one of my favorite chapters from this book, can totally relate with the virtual and visible side of the human the author is talking about, It passionately inspires to accept the performer of life that you are and also pushes you to climb to the best altitude of betterment for your Main character to thrive.
Couple of poems have stayed with me from Film-e-Life, every page is full of body, mind positivity, every poem is relatable and heartwarming, it touches directly to the protagonist we all are deep within trying to fit in, trying to be understood in this dramatic world.
Life is so much better when associated with art, and if you think your life only as an art then, all the problems will look and feel serene and less fucks will be given to the uncontrollable things.
Film-e-Life makes you believe into this art and believe into the artist that you are. I keep coming back to the pages and they actually help me understand my life from a third person’s perspective. It’s a great read for everyone, a very cool perspective to learn and operate the parameters of life by keeping the remote solely in your hands, by being the filmmaker of your own filmy life.
